DESCRIPTION:Tack Driver Australia – Inaugural Precision Shooting Event\nWelcome precision shooters! Tack Driver Australia is Australia’s first-ever 300 metres Group Score Fly targets in a single benchrest competition\, bringing a unique and exciting format that has been a sell-out success in the USA to our shores. \nEvent Details\n\nDates: Saturday 18 July – Sunday 19 July 2026\nPractice Day: Friday 17 July from Midday\nLocation: Colo Benchrest Club\nEntry Fee: $85 per day\nDistance: 300 metres\nTargets: Group\, Score\, Fly (alternating)\nMaximum Competitors: 75\n\nWho Should Compete\n\nAll precision shooters welcome – If you have a suitable rifle\, come and compete.\nBenchrest shooters\, F-Class shooters\, and Fly shooters are all encouraged to participate.\n\nCourse of Fire\n\nDay 1 (Saturday): Warmer target at 9:00am\, followed by 6 targets alternating Group\, Score\, Fly\, Group\, Score\, Fly.\nDay 2 (Sunday): 6 targets alternating Fly\, Group\, Score\, Fly\, Group\, Score starting at 9:00am.\nEach target detail is 20 minutes apart with 3 details per target.\n\nShooting Rules\n\nAll shooting will be from a bench – no shooting from the ground.\nNo moving backers: scorer will determine shot count and their decision is final.\nNo coaching allowed during shooting.\nCompetitors must use the same gun and caliber throughout the event.\n\nEquipment Rules\n\nRifles up to 8mm or subject to range limitations.\nNo rail guns.\nNo weight limit.\nOne-piece rests are not permitted; bipod\, rest and bag combinations are allowed.\nNo electronic devices on the bench except timer.\n\nCamping & Accommodation\n\nCamping is available on the range.\nFacilities include toilets\, showers\, kitchen access\, and BBQ.\nPower is available in the shed and reloading room but not at the campsites.\nLimited accommodation is available nearby.\n\nFood & Catering\n\nFood will be available for purchase on competition days for lunch and breakfast.\nA free BBQ will be supplied on Saturday night.\n\nRegistration\n\nRegister via the Benchrest Australia events page at benchrestaustralia.com.au.\nEntry closes Friday 27 June 2026 (3 weeks before the event).\nNo Eftpos Available please bring cash\n\nAdditional Information\n\nThis event is presented by Benchrest Australia.\nThe event features trophies and patches for the top 20 competitors.\nThe event is a historic first for Australia\, bringing a proven USA sell-out format.\n\nDon’t Miss Out!\nDon’t miss out on this historic event!
