SILVERDALE CLUB MONTHLY MATCH REPORT – 16 November 2024

The day was a bit dreary with low hanging clouds and the occasional shower with a moderate but very switchy wind condition. Just a normal day at Silverdale. It looked like we were going to get some decent groups on the targets but it was not to be. We’ve learned over the years that Silverdale can be deceptively difficult to shoot and today was one of those days.

We had five shooters for todays meeting, Dave Dixon, Chris Clarke, Jack Lipko, Karl Khuen and John Babic.

The first target was an eye opener in a bad way with some big groups for most of us but Karl seemed to get it right with a very tidy 0.200” group. Second target was much the same, this time Chris getting the best result with a reasonable 0.285” group. Targets C and D were similar and on Target E, Dave Dixon shot what was the smallest group of the match, a neat 0.198”.

At the end of the match we were all scratching our heads a little and wondering what went wrong. Dave Dixon won the day with a 0.3346” aggregate and he celebrated with a biscuit shout for all of us.

Next match will be held on the  14th of December and will be the last match of the year.

Match schedule for 2025 will be compiled once the National calendar is available to avoid clashing with registered matches.
