Hi Everyone,

Just reaching out to find out who is going to Australia Day this year in Canberra. For everyone who reads this forum please text email mates and get competitors to the competition and make it a success. In uncertain times it is everyone's responsibility to get as many competitors to our matches as we can.

get texting

I attended the first one in 1980 and have attended every year since then except for one, when I attended the SHOT Show in Las Vegas. I have always considered the AD Matches to be 2nd only in importance to the Nationals. It's a good way to start the calendar year off, with a chance to catch up with old mates and make some new ones.

See you there!

I'm a newbie Centre Fire Benchrest shooter and have nominated for the Australia Day Shoot. My First big centre fire shoot. I hope as many people as possible can nominate for this event. I have a Labor lobbyist in my family and apparently they are trying to differentiate Hunter, Target and define what it means to be a sporting shooter. Which may mean that Sporting shooters can hold up to 10 Firearms. The thinking that sporting shooters can hold appropriate firearms for different classes of sport but they must at least compete at club or more elite shooting competitions.

That is as much as I have been told. So a good turnout at club and larger events could be advantageous to our shooting community.

Season's greeting's

David H
