For all competitive benchrest shooters group and IRB, if you are considering trying out for team selections the process moving forward will be results in order of the last (2) National results combined if you miss a National you will not be considered for team selections. This process was stated and reinforced at the NDC meeting held in Melbourne 2025.

The team selection moving forward from 2026 will be A Team, B Team and C Team. A team will receive some funding from National for travel and expenses, the B team will receive uniforms only supplied by National and the C team will be totally self-funded. 

I will be working with the state representatives to try and coordinate fund raising for the B and C team what that looks like is unsure at this time however the representation of your country is the highest point in any shooting career, I find it personally confronting to see the C team have to self fund everything. Any donations and suggestions are welcomed from the competitive community on how to raise funds for shooting members. 

It will be critical now more than ever we have National events and locations to host these events moving forward. I look forward to seeing you at Canberra in a couple of weeks for the first of the calendar events - Australian Day.
