Yes I do believe gun shops will suffer and due to this issue the whole importing from overseas could also be jeopardised due to Australia now having such a small retail output.

As Michael said competitive shooters could possibly be spared the brunt of the new legislation but as I stated earlier. The actual legislation is very gauge and lacking in detail and specifics.

Who is this so called Commissioner and what guidelines will they use as a baseline to determine who eligible for a greater number of target specific rifles.

I hope it becomes very clear very quickly so as to avoid any dramas concerning over zealous highway patrol officers who are also ill informed of the correct rules .

Just bringing this topic back to the forefront as the bill goes to parliament today.

I'm sure that everyone here has probably taken action to express themselves to their various representatives, but.....

Just in case you haven't, today is critical.

Write to your state and federal Reps.an to all the senators for your state (particularly NSW members).

We need to be heard.

SSAA has draft letter on their website and links to find your senators.

As I said, today is critical!

This is a chore approach we need one voice one cohesive submission not by SSAA, not by NRAA, Not by ACTA, Not by APA one voice. All these submissions from organisations will be treated as such we will answer that one then that one. If all shooting organisations put aside their own personal agenda and came together as one Million people group, you would have more respect and more power to make a difference united we stand divided we will fall.
