Hi all,

I'm hoping that someone might be able to point me in the right direction.

I have a remmington 700 short action that has been sleeved / reinforced by Alan Swan, the action is flat on top.

I need to replace the existing scope mounts with a picatinny rail.

Can anyone tell me if there is a picatinny rail with a flat base, readily available that would fit the length of a 700 short action?

Thanks - They fitted weaver style mounts ...but this is an old action ....the work was done 25 / 30 years ago!

I think I can use a Tikka T3 pic rail (would need to machine off the locating lug though).

Any other suggestions greatly appreciated!
