Canberra Monthly Centrefire Shoot 200 YDS 22/03/2025

Great weather at Canberra today. Very light winds, just enough to catch some of us out.

Eight shooter’s attended, Jen Green shot Rimfire as she is waiting to get her new Benchrest Rifle together.

Ian Lampl  had a lot of problems getting Zeroed so ended up shooting for practice.

Vivian King ended up shooting four groups with his newly acquired rifle which is the late Ann Brummell’s rifle.

Vivian had early trouble getting on target as the scope had been removed before he obtained the rifle.

Once he got sighted in, he showed promise as he is still working up loads, this being his first 6mm PPC.

The rest of the field shot five groups with Chris Clarke coming out on top with a consistent performance.

John Huckel was going alright with his worn-out barrel but dropped a shot on C target to finish in second place. He also shot the smallest group of the day a .392 on the last detail.

Dave Dixon shot a nice .544 to take out the C detail and finish in 3 rd. place.

Hugh Poate shoots a Factory 6mm BR and David Wright shoots a lighter barrel 22 BR on a Remington action built by PSECO many years ago.
