The Queensland 4 Gun Championship was held at the SSAA range at Captains Mountain and once again the shoot was well run and enjoyable. The weather wasn’t so kind with howling winds, rain and hail through out and some rare sunshine on the last day.

We started with the Experimental on Friday which was won by Paul Sullivan with a .3308 grand agg with Ean Parsons second and Les Fraser third.

The Light Benchrest was also won by Paul Sullivan with a .2848 agg, John Babic second and Andrew Proll third. Special mention for new shooter and local Toowoomba man Jason Edwards who won the 100 LB, great effort.

Congratulations also go to Annie Elliot who shot an amazing .060″ group at 100 yards in what were horrible conditions

Heavy Benchrest winner was Annie Elliot with a .2834 agg, John Babic second and William Greer third.

The Sporter was won by William Greer with a .2865 agg, Les Fraser coming second and Paul Sullivan third.

The Two Gun and Three Gun winner was John Babic and Paul Sullivan took out the Four gun.

Thanks to all involved in organizing the shoot and special mention to Lea Cherry for running the shoot, Andrew Proll and Kerry Moore setting up the range, Stuart Elliot running the line as Range Officer and Ian Thompson for kindly doing the scoring. Many thanks to Tom Buvac who travelled all the way from South Australia for this shoot.
