Whilst checking stock widths at the recent CF and RF Nationals it was noticed that several were sailing very close, and some may have actually been over the maximum allowable width. We did not measure all stocks but the sample we did do shows attention needs to be paid to this.

Please refer to Rule 4.2 (3 inches or 76.2 mm) and Rule 4.7 (2.25 inches or 57.15mm).

If you are going to add stock tape please ensure your Stock maker and/or Gunsmith knows of your plans.

In regards to weight, several rifles had to have turret caps removed and/or a butt pad screw removed to make weight.

With State Titles to be shot over the coming months now would be a good time to check.

Please note the rules do not have any allowance for an over measurement.
