Hi All,

Glen Aarsen has been doing some great work with the Fly shoots at Silverdale and its been encouraging some new shooters to Benchrest and the Fly which is great to see. As such he asked me if I could post todays results for the October shoot.

Regards

Dave

Today's 10 Oct 2026 fly club shot has be shot and we have found the 280 club trophy.

Tks Ed for finding the trophy as it is needed as you will read.

Morning rain and light winds to start greeted 11 fly hungry shooters. Some twitching condition by the D and E targets sorted some of us out.

In First place was Dave with a great 280.8 then Lee with 259.6 and Terry 256.4.

Dave also shot the highest target 59.2 and smallest group 1.042".

A great warm up for Melbourne Dave.

We also welcomed a new fly shooter Emil, 184 in his first attempt, great job. He'll be back to get the fly that he just missed.

With the 280 trophy found, it should be noted that currently only two names are on that, Ed and Dave and both date back years, so in keeping with the spirit of the fly shoot, Dave's name will be engraved and score listed in recognition of today's result.

Congrats Dave great shooting.
