Hi all

just

Just thought I would start a thread For the up and coming Tack Driver Shoot at Colo.

Sounds like a great concept and something for everyone and a great way to bring all disciplines together.

Never shot 300 looking forward to it . Cheers Chris

G'day everyone,

Great to see nominations are already starting to come in!

The main goal of this match is to bring ALL shooters together and for everyone to realize we are just one large shooting family.

It'd be great to see benchrest shooters, F-Class competitors, and fly shooters all there. I reckon it could be a really special event if we get a good mix of disciplines represented.

This shoot is being run by the shooters, so if anyone can help in any way, please reach out. The main role we need filled is target crew.
Curious to hear what people think - especially if there are any F-Class or Fly shooters here. Anyone considering giving it a go?

Cheers,

Michael

@michael-thompson Hi Michael, I have been promoting this event at the Newcastle SSAA range. Probably have 3 so far that will nominate. Is there any chance we could have a factory class category where only the trigger can be lightened. I think we could pull a lot more shooters into this sort of competition. So many of our range shooters see the level of the elite Benchrest Shooters (I'm not one of them), and get put off. But a competition that allows a factory rifle category could help to grow the elite level of the sport too.

I'm sure this has been advocated before but I thought I would cast the net.

Regards

David H

Hi Michael, It will certainly be of interest to the Sydney based Fly shooters to shoot this at Colo. I am also going to promote the event at my local club in Sydney for those that want to go along and see what its all about. The idea of just shooting what you have (PPC, 6BR or 308 etc) will be best to get new shooters along with the idea of having a good day.

Cheers

Dave

Looking at the way the program is set out that would leave about an hour between your last and next shoot .Plenty of time so you can count me in helping with target changes .
