Scott,

There is limited airbnb type accomodation near the range but if that's full your next best is somewhere around Windsor which is about 50 minutes away by car. There is a fair few options there. Camping at the range is an option as well which a lot of shooters are taking up.

Hi

I am sorting things for the Tack Driver, just a few questions, what are all the rules, what is the rotation going to be, are we shooting on the same bench all day and are we changing for the second, just to sort flags out. How high does the flags need to be just so we can get the poles correct, what time do we need to be there on the Saturday and Sunday, can we reload close to the benches, can we park our vehicles close to the benches. Do we have a warmer target for both days, or only the first day.  When can we set the flags out, could you please get back to me about this, thank you.

Mark.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the questions, please see attached PDF, this should clear things up.

The rotation will be 1 bench per day moving 10 benches along for the second day. The flags will need to be quite high close to the benches and will reduce height the further away they get, I would say approx. 1.8m to 2m at the bench.

There will be practice on the Friday and flag setting will be from 3pm on. Shooting starts at 9am each day. There is parking adjacent to the firing line on both ends but not directly behind the line.

There is a shed that you can reload in bit is about 150m from the firing line, if you want to reload closer to the line I would suggest taking a gazebo.

Any other questions please feel free to ask.

Michael

Tack Driver is coming up fast, it would be interesting to see what people would be using on the day, what sort of Bench guns, Fly rifles, F class or PRS guns, hunting guns etc .

I will be using a 6PPC bench gun, any rifle combination up to 8mm can do this, I will leave it open for comment.

It’s all about having fun and connecting with other people.
